This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how Teamy ("Teamy", "we", "our" or "us"), collects, uses and shares your information when you install or use Teamy applications ("Applications", "Application", "App") and services ("Services").
We strive to only collect data that enables us to provide you with the best Services. This includes, for example, minor things like allowing others to see your name, along with your profile picture in team chats, if you have one.
It also helps us provide maximum protection for your Teamy account from fraud and spam.
In addition, we also safeguard your communications via Teamy, like team chats, private one-on-one messages, shared media and other files, with end-to-end encryption.
That is, your unique encryption key is being stored solely on your device, hence no one else has access to it.
1.1. Account registration
We collect elements of your Personal Data during your Teamy account registration, such as your name and email address.
If you sign up to Teamy using your email address, we will use it to verify your account and further provide you with to our Services, handle your account support, and respond to your inquiries, if any.
We may also use your email address to share our latest news and product updates with you.
You may opt out of receiving newsletters and promotional emails from us anytime. Please refer to Chapter 4. Your Choice & Control for more information, regarding your opt-out options in Teamy.
We may also ask you to provide your phone number during registration, when you choose to.
However, in case you choose not to provide it to us, your access & use of certain Teamy features and services, may be restricted.
You may also choose to provide us with other information that includes elements of your Personal Data, as part of the registration process.
By voluntarily providing such Personal Data to us by choice, you confirm your consent to our collection, processing and use of this data.
1.2. Use of Our Services
Access to your Teamy account and further use of our Services via Teamy Applications, may require granting the following permissions to our App:

1.3. Personal Data Obtained from Other Sources
a. Google
If you sign up for a Teamy account via Google, you may be asked to share certain information from your Google account with Teamy, such as your Google account email and profile picture. This information is collected, processed and provided to us, according under the terms of Google's Privacy Policy.

1.4. Use of Cookies and Similar Technology
We may automatically collect certain Personal Data through the use of cookies, beacons and other similar technology to collect aggregated statistics related to the use of our Apps and Services and improve their performance.
a. Service Provision Cookies
While you are visiting the Website, our web servers for the operation of the Service temporarily collect general technical information, in particular about the software and hardware you use, the IP address of the requesting computer, which websites you have visited and when, and the Duration of your visit.

Any use of your Personal Data by such Service Providers for purposes other than performing operational functions for Teamy is strictly prohibited.

Teamy enables you to share media, documents and/or other types of content with other users via team chats and private messages. Teamy doesn't claim ownership of Your Content.
When you share content with others, you acknowledge that they may be able to save, record, reproduce, share, transmit, broadcast, display or otherwise use such content without providing any compensation to you.
Teamy doesn't use what you say in emails, messages, media and other files to target advertising to you.
We take reasonable measures to help maintain data we collect through our Applications in a secure manner.
Teamy shall not retain, use or process shared Personal Data, such as your email address or phone number, for longer than necessary to fulfill our business purpose.
We store non-personally intrusive data and the Personal Data obtained from the Use of our Applications, in a pseudonymized manner, up to one year in order to ensure that our Services function properly.
We process information in a way that is compatible with and relevant to the purpose for which it was collected as described above. Our Applications may contain links to third-party websites. We do not own or control these websites, and their data practices are regulated by the Privacy Policies of such websites.
